Yes, the country is severely divided but I would also suggest the country is on edge. With President Biden finally being forced to give up the ghost, can we soften the rift?

If you took Trump out of the equation, which almost happened, would we remain as divided? What would the media do? They would be at a loss. Think about it, if Trump had been killed and after the gun powder settled, what would the country look like?

Could the energy for the republicans continue? Are the democrats going to be able to generate enough enthusiasm to push another unqualified, liberal, socialist in the White House? They’ve launched their brainwashing campaign and people will buy into it. Memories are short.

I was dog sledding, well more like dog rolling, by Alaskan sled dogs. We were in little carts with wheels and being drawn through the forest by these powerful and super energetic wonderful animals. Highlight of the trip.

As my wife and I were all smiles enjoying a place of splendid beauty, we didn’t know Donald Trump had been shot. We had no cell service and therefore despite the enormity of the murder attempt, it had no impact on us, until our phones reconnected and started pinging the news.

Back on the ship we could watch FOX news, thankfully, and got caught up with what happened.

This is where I come to the point when I say we are a country, a world, on edge. The sniper attempt on Trump as he would say was HUGE. Biggest story since Hamas butchered 1,200 Israelis. And those people did die, slaughtered, and more lives continue to hang in the balance.

We had made several friends on the ship, some from England. A couple from our own hometown. Historically something as significant as the murder attempt on a past president would have been the talk around every lounge, dinner table and bar. Yet, no one brought it up. No one.

And you know why? Of course you do. The left has managed to successfully demonize anything Trump and the woke nonsense. Everyone’s afraid. We were all enjoying vacation. No one knew anyone well enough to know their political affiliation. It was safer and easier to avoid talking about a topic that ordinarily would, should have been spilling from everyone’s lips.

There’s no debate Trump is a polarizing figure, but why? Because his image has been perfectly crafted by the media and the democrats. If he were to emit gas, the media would say Trump launched a nuclear weapon. And if we think it was bad before, the dems and their media friends are just getting started.

The collective left are the ones solely responsible for these discords. Their only objective is to “kill” the man who stands in their way. The rest of the country can just figure out how to deal with their daily troubles and trying to survive because all that matters to the democrats is maintaining control. They don’t care about you. When was the last time the democrats brought down gas prices, reduced inflation, reduced interest rates, stopped the bleeding at the border? Not once in the last four years. They’re the cause of it. But you’re going to hear in the next few months all the great plans they’re going to concoct to fix what they broke. Already Kamala has the guts to say it’s Trump’s fault!

Most of us have had close calls in life in some form or another. I’ve had my share, and it shakes you for quite a while. I’d venture unless you’re in the military or police, very few have been grazed by a bullet. When Zuckerberg called Trump a bad ass, that sums it up.

If Trump can bounce to his feet with blood pouring down his neck and tell us all to fight after nearly having his brains blown out, then it’s time we fight, harder. With Biden gone and an unqualified DEI candidate, the socialists are fired up again. There’s no way we can be complacent.

No more cowering. No more whispering in a room because so and so is a liberal.

I too am to blame for keeping my mouth shut on the cruise ship. I too didn’t want to stir anything up. But we should have never gotten to this point. I should and will not be silenced going forward. It doesn’t have to be in anger or intentionally trying to start a verbal battle. However, like the other side, I have strong beliefs and opinions and if I want to share them, I damn straight will. I do it in my writing.

I’m pulling out my MAGA hats and flags and will proudly wear and wave. And I will send Trump/Vance even more money.

Some say we had been lied to about Biden. No, we weren’t. We who are not snookered by the media saw it four years ago. We had been screaming that Biden hasn’t been running the country since he took office. Other nations knew it as well but our media, his cabinet, family and the democrats felt the Americans didn’t need to know. Kamala knew it.

We’re now going to get the exact same thing with Harris. Another communist puppet. It will be even worse.

During his acceptance speech Trump made a point that has been lost will all politicians. None of them were elected to serve only half the country. Should Harris win, that’s what we’re going to get, again.

There was a choir of young kids on Americas Got Talent who set an example of what our future could be. They were Israeli and Palestinians. I found that to be extremely powerful and telling. If those kids can put aside their differences coming from a very complicated world, we certainly should be able to do so with strangers we meet on a ship or anyone we encounter in our lives.

We are living on the edge of collapse.
