The democrats are screaming about Trump and Musk’s determination to reduce America’s debt. A role the democrats played in bloating it. I know, republicans’ hands aren’t clean either. The reduction process will cause a little disturbance in the force but every surgery requires a recovery time. Those of us who use common-sense, and there are millions, don’t understand why the democrats are fighting against making things better (actually we do know why). All their shouting matches, marches and dancing over their feigned concern of federal employees losing their jobs is a deception. That’s not to say I don’t have sympathy for the good employees, but you need determine who they are first.
Let’s examine how a few former federal employees faired.
Barack Obama entered the White House with no money. A community organizer, which could mean just about anything. Activist? There are rumors swirling of a possible divorce which I couldn’t care less about. What really stunned me were the questions being raised over how were the Obama’s going to divide their $70 million fortune? Word is it could be worth north of $100 million. Some of that money included Netflix, book deals and getting paid $400,000 to talk for an hour. The Obama’s achieved this financial wealth having been a former federal employee.
The Obama’s amassed enough money in eight years where 10,000 middle class Americans combined (just an example, could be more) would never earn in a lifetime. Toss in the $12 million Martha’s Vineyard mansion, the Kalorama, Washington home at $8 million and their Kenwood Illinois home worth about $2 million. Bill Clinton claimed he left the White House broke. He said most of his money went to legal fees for playing around with young girls and trying to explain the definition of “is.” However, low and behold, in his first year as Joe Citizen, Bill made nearly $14 million supposedly just talking and writing fees. In 2016, Hillary tried to frame Donald Trump for colluding with Russia, and then she and her husband went on to make $153 million, also supposedly just talking. How is that possible? According to CNN, their post 15 years after leaving the White House, they amassed a whopping $240 million. Then you ask, you’re just picking on democrats. George Bush and Donald Trump were millionaires and billionaires respectively before becoming president. They already had money and were independently wealthy. They didn’t need the public service launch pad.
Moving along. Joe Biden who spent nearly his entire adult life living off the taxpayer didn’t do so well financially in the early years. It was after his run as VP, Jill and Joe earned, made, scammed, over $17 million dollars in four years. We don’t even know how much he and Hunter made from China and who knows from where else while he was president and a federal employee. Luckily for all of us, and for him, he got fired before Musk could DOGE him. Biden would have had a hard time putting down five bullet points of what he did the previous week. Using the immortal words of Larry the Cable Guy, “I don’t care who you are, that’s funny.”
I don’t begrudge anyone from making good use of our capitalist system and bettering themselves. Only it’s a bit ironic how the left keeps saying the rich have to pay their fair share. That’s it’s up to the one percenters to pay more taxes to make up the shortfall. Only that shortfall we’re learning wasn’t a shortfall, it was everyone getting ripped off. The easy fix was always to tax, tax, tax.
The thing is, we never had to raise taxes. You just had to reduce government. What a concept.
One more for good measure.
Nancy Pelosi is another one who made it her life-long goal to claim she worked for the people when in fact she did a great job working for herself. The story here is she’s worth close to $300 million and counting. Again, the left hates the rich (unless you are a lefty and then they close their eyes). As a hippie capitalist, Pelosi has holdings in Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Google and Netflix. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but what’s the common thread with those companies? They’re all run by uber left-wing liberal democrats. And they’re some of the wealthiest companies on the planet. I don’t think Nancy in her wildest dreams ever thought when she was dancing with flowers in her hair at Haight and Ashbury, she would become such an astute businessperson.
Sure, there are many republicans who have done well serving as politicians, but none are proclaiming they got your back like that the likes of Barack, Hillary, Clinton and sleepy Joe. They have always spoke with forked tongues and preached how they were all in for democracy while giving Americans the finger and laughing all the way to the bank.
Jimmy Carter was an exception; despite being the second worst president thanks to Joe Biden who took the number one spot. After leaving office Carter went back to his humble home in Georgia. We can criticize his presidency, but we can’t criticize all the good he did afterwards. He never ran around looking for photo ops and seeking praise. He put his head down and continued on in life truly helping people, not stealing from them. He earned my respect.
While the left is going apoplectic over Musk trimming America’s belly fat, those wealthy federal employees are part of the mess we’re in. Rolling in cash and luxury.
Trump and Musk aren’t doing it for any personal gain. They’re giving America a much-needed chemotherapy treatment. Soon the treatment will be over, and the country will go into remission. Then the true healing will begin.
