Many years ago, I had the privilege to have lunch with the Dalai Lama. I have to admit up to that day I didn’t know much about him. After lunch, I asked if I could get a photo of him with my wife and me. He took both our hands. Too this day I can still feel the energy run up my arms and envelope my body. It was euphoric. An immense feeling of peace. If someone else would have told me the story I would likely have shrugged, but it was truly powerful, and I’ve always wished I could get that feeling again.
That experience had me want to look deeper into the history of the Dalai Lama, Tibet and why we had to keep his visit a secret. The short of it is China invaded Tibet and the Dalai Lama had to sneak out during the dead of night into India otherwise he was a dead man.
With that said, there’s a video of the Dalai Lama asking a young boy to suck his tongue. Honestly, that isn’t enough for me to label the man a pedophile as so many had rushed to do. The Dalai Lama had a great sense of humor. I have no way of knowing what it means if anything. When you’re a very public person and a lot of people hate what you stand for, you have a target on your back 24/7. That still doesn’t change my experience with the man and what happened to Tibet.
Tibet used to be in the news back in the day. There were bumper stickers and rallies of Free Tibet. But if anything, it’s gotten worse. China is eliminating Tibetan religions, linguistic heritage and their culture. Through government surveillance, China makes sure nothing gets out to the rest of the world. Longtime activist Richard Gere, who used to visit and hang with the Tibetan monks told a recent hearing what China is doing “match the definition of crimes against humanity.”
You may not see the immediate connection, but I bring this up after seeing a commercial of a Midwest cattle farmer and his family praising TikTok for helping them with their operation. TikTok is owned by the Chinese. And I would venture to guess we don’t know the half of what that app is doing to our country and more importantly to our kids. In 2024 Biden’s re-election campaign joins TikTok out of desperation to woo young voters. An already heavily compromised president just made it easier for the Chinese to control him even more.
TikTok is also used to inform the Chinese “migrants” where the holes in the fences are and how to get through. In 2023 alone, 37,000 Chinese were apprehended at the border. I recently learned about the notoriously dangerous Darien Gap, separating North and South America. Bret Weinstein, American podcaster, who visited first hand said, “it’s not a friendly migration.” There are makeshift cities and staging areas for the Chinese on their way to the United States. Separate from those of Haiti, Venezuela, Cuba, India, Africa and the rest of the world. Whereas the poor who make the trek die in droves are raped and attacked by the cartels, the Chinese have hotels, restaurants and shops. China now owns nearly 400,000 thousand acres of American land. As we’ve learned, some of “their” land is near or adjacent to military bases. Most is prime farm land. Land that produces food for Americans. Similar to my last article about the cartels being avocado farmers, the Chinese now raise corn, cattle and have a sideline hobby of spying.
The other farming operation the Chinese enjoy is growing weed. Early last year 2,000 of the Oklahoma’s 7,000 licensed pot farms had a Chinese connection. The point of raising all these issues and using Tibet as the impetus for this column is obvious. We are being taken over by China in a slow, methodical and cunning way. A malignance quietly eating away at us until one day, boom, we’ve lost control and wonder how it happened.
We are Tibet. And soon Taiwan may have to fight for its sovereignty as well. China doesn’t border us, but Mexico has become a willing conduit and that’s just as good for China. We have no way of knowing how much influence or payoffs or even threats China holds over Mexico. But something really stinks. And it’s not the weed.
China is known for being patient and making long-term plans. I hate to admit it, but they’re much smarter and certainly craftier than we are. We have a president who doesn’t know his own name and yet we worry more about what pronouns we use.
We recently let the Chinese know we’re on to them. Yeah right. FBI Director Christopher Wray told us the Chinese were going to go after our electrical grids, water and other infrastructure. Soon we’re going to be handing over hand the reins to a generation of kids who don’t have a clue. Their faces are buried in their phones. They can be told anything, thanks TikTok, and they believe it because it’s the only thing they know.
We’re running out of time. Elect a new president who has guts whoever she or he is to immediately return everyone who entered illegally back to Mexico. Doesn’t matter what it costs because if they stay here, in the long run it will cost a heck of a lot more. Put a hard close on the southern border. Not some wishy washy we’ll allow so many in a day. Stop any further land purchases by foreigners. Shoot down balloons before they enter our air space. Shut down TikTok nationwide. And as a bonus, a new federal law that anyone who is woke, needs to go to sleep or move to China. And to find out who they are we’ll sick Janet Yellen on them and flag things like climate change, DEI, transitioning, safe space and snow flake.
Sometimes it just takes tough love.
